Marcia Madeira - Biography

Marcia Madeira received a Tony nomination and won the Drama Desk Award for Nine with Raul Julia directed by Tommy Tune. Other Broadway designs include My One and Only with Tommy Tune & Twiggy, The Music Man with Dick van Dyke directed and choreographed by Michael Kidd, and Marilyn, An American Fable with Allison Reed & Scott Bakula. Off-Broadway designs include: Cloud 9 directed by Tommy Tune, Privates On Parade with Jim Dale & Simon Jones directed by Larry Carpenter and choreographed by Daniel Pelzig, and The Transposed Heads at Lincoln Center written and directed by Julie Taymor.

She has designed numerous regional theatre productions for The Huntington Theatre, Boston; The Walnut Street Theatre, Philadelphia; Studio Arena Theatre, Buffalo; and The Alliance, Atlanta.
